Gertrude (Duquette) St. Cyr, age 101, died on August 28, 2021 at Crestwood Nursing Home in Milford, NH.
She was the youngest of three children and was born in Nashua, NH in 1919 to Daniel & Angeline (0ullette) Duquette.
As a young woman Gertrude worked as a housekeeper, seamstress, in the Amoskeag Mills, and in later years at Velcro, USA. She was talented in and enjoyed doing fiber arts and learned loom weaving in her later years. She was also an avid quilter. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by family.
She was predeceased by her husband Paul St. Cyr, her son, Richard St. Cyr, and two brothers Sylvio & Robert.
She is survived by two daughters, Denise Cedras of Wilton, NH, and Pauline Boisvert of Hudson, NH; 12 grandchildren - Mark & his wife Deb, Steven, Paul & his wife Jill, David & his wife Yuan, Daniel & his wife Andrea, Michael, Rebecca & her husband Robb, Rachel & her husband Walter, Sarah & her husband Patrick, Susanna & her husband Rupesh, Matthias, and Marcus; and 12 great grandchildren.
There are no visitation hours.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 3rd at 11 am in the Salvation Army Church, 1 Montgomery Ave, Nashua.
