She was born in Manchester on May 28, 1918 to Appolinaire and Rose Anna (Pettigrew) Gamache. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
She worked for the Association Canado-Americaine and Dupont Insurace, both in Manchester, for many years. She was also a homemaker for many years.
Ghislaine was a member of the Sodality of St. Anne and the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary. She was also a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Bel Canto Choir in Manchester.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Compagna in 2009 and by four children, Roger Compagna in 2011 and Denise, Paul and Guy Compagna.
The family includes two children, Donald F. Compagna and his wife, Diane, of Manchester, and Gisele McCall and her husband, James, of Bedford; a daughter in law, Connie Compagna of Manchester; six grandchildren, Christine, Renee, Aaron, Meagan, Ryan and Nolan; a great grandson, Lucas; a brother, Philippe Gamache and his wife, Louise, of Nashua; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Home Health and Hospice Care for the care they provided to Ghislaine.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Parish of the Transfiguration, corner of Kelley and Youville streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
