Born in Berlin on December 1, 1933, he was the son of Sylvio and Doris (Gilbert) Moreau. He lived in Manchester most of his life.
During the Korean Conflict he served in the US Air Force.
Mr. Moreau drove for St. Johnsbury Trucking Company for 36 years. In retirement, he drove for McDevitt Trucks. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 633 and had served as its president. In addition he was also a member of the American Legion Jutras Post.
He enjoyed trucks, planes, trains, circuses and most importantly, time spent with his grandchildren.
The family includes his wife of 53 years, Ruth M. (Bussiere) Moreau of Manchester; three children, Gail L. Dubois of Manchester, Jeffrey J. Moreau and his wife, Cheryl, of Bedford and Karen M. Croteau of Hooksett; six grandchildren; Amanda Dubois, Hannah Dubois, Sarah Moreau, Bethany Moreau, Holly Croteau, Nicholas Croteau, a sister, Lorraine Christoffersen of Carver, MA and nieces and nephews.
There was a committal service, with full military honors, Friday, August 14, 2009 at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, Manchester.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester assisted the family with arrangements.
