Gilberte A. Dulude

Sr. Gilberte Dulude (Sr. Helena of Jesus), 91, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, Manchester, NH died April 21, 2003 at her residence .

Born in Woonsocket, RI on November 6, 1911, she was the daughter of Herve and Helena (Bois) Dulude. She entered the congregation of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1935, made her first profession in 1937 and her final profession in 1942.

She earned a bachelor's degree from Rivier College in Nashua, NH and a master's degree from Catholic Teachers College in Providence, RI. She also studied at Catholic University of America in Washington, DC and Providence College in Providence, RI.

Sr. Dulude taught in parochial elementary schools in Manchester, NH and Berlin, NH for 11 years and at St. Marie High School in Manchester, NH for 24 years. She then taught and was circulation librarian at Rivier College for 19 years.

The family includes a brother, Robert Dulude of Attleboro, MA; two sisters in law, Irma Dulude of Woonsocket, RI and Nelly Dulude of Moncke Corners, SC; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday April 24, 2003 in the Resurrection Chapel. Burial was in Presentation of Mary Cemetery, Hudson, NH.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, NH was in charge of arrangements.
