Glenn Edward Urquhart, 62, of Manchester, NH died May 28, 2011 at Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH from melanoma cancer.

He was born in Mineola, NY on December 1, 1948 to Wesley and Madeline (Koloski) Urquhart.

Mr. Urquhart worked as a systems analyst, specializing in accounting software and was a CFO.

He was an avid historian and hobbyist. His collections included stamps, coins, antiques, fine wines, photography, music, books and movies.

He will be remembered as a generous person and a loving son, husband, brother, father, uncle and friend.

IN HIS LIFE: You were always apt to learn something new when conversing with him.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cathy (Windisch) Urquhart of Manchester, NH; two children, Captain Wes Edward Urquhart and his fiancee, Katherine Veach, of Atlantic Beach, NC and Lindsay Urquhart and her fiancee, Bradley Miller, of Manchester, NH. ; his father Wesley Urquhart and his wife, Ann, of Plymouth MA; his best friend and brother in law Edward Windisch and his companion, Jan Vigneau, of Ashland, MA; sisters in law, Elizabeth "Terry" Hopkins and her husband, Wallace, of Elizabeth, CO, Jeanne Yollick and husband, Steve, of Troy MI, Carolyn Joany Pacetti and husband, Paul, of Cape Coral Fl, and Vicki Windisch and her fiance, Mark Resser, of Sewickley, PA; nieces, Shayna Yollick, of Michigan, Anna Hopkins of Colorado, and Jennifer Baumgardner and her husband, Matthew, of North Carolina; nephews, Edward Walter and wife, Diane, of Pennsylvania, and Michael Walter and his fiancee, Joanna Malukiewicz, of Arizona; a great niece, Magda Walters of Pennsylvania; his aunt, Lee Chapman and her husband, Joseph and family of Wantagh, Long Island, NY; and his uncle Ed Urquhart and his wife, Dorothy and family of Rome, ME.

A Service of Remembrance was held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester, NH.
