Gloria R. Gustafson

Gloria R. Gustafson, 83, of Manchester died Monday October 2, 2023 after a period of declining health.

Born December 6, 1939 in Manchester, she was the daughter of Aimee LaFlamme and Alice (Duperron) LaRochelle. She grew up on the West side, attending local schools and enjoyed dancing with her friends. In 1962 she married Alfred Gustafson Jr. and they have enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Gloria worked at Pandora where she met her husband and later as a calibrator for Modutec and Jewell Instruments.

Gloria loved her family dearly.  Her grandchildren were her world and she took every chance she could to shower them with her love, treats, and time at “Grammy’s house.”  Many summers were spent entertaining family and friends by the pool and having barbeques.  No one made a better macaroni salad than Gloria. 

She especially loved spending time at the beach with her husband, going for walks along the shore finding shells and sand dollars.  When staying close to home, you could find Gloria with her husband Al at Lake Massabesic enjoying the view and watching the ducks.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband Alfred Gustafson Jr.; her daughters Beth Gustafson Wheeler & her husband Ken of Plymouth, NH, Judy Gustafson & her husband James Kelley of Weymouth, MA, and her son Dana Gustafson of Barrington, NH & his former partner Robin Gustafson; her grandchildren Erik & Aleks Gustafson, Patrick Kelley, & Sasha Wheeler; her sisters Pauline Pearsal, Beatrice Weiss, and Edith Soucy; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Ruth Spelas and Sister Edith LaFlamme.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday October 10th at 10 am at St. Pius X Church, 575 Candia Rd., Manchester, NH, followed by committal at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen.
