Gloria E. Messier, 90, of Manchester, died peacefully on February 21, 2023, at her residence.
Born in Manchester, NH on January 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and (Leona Bosse) Messier. She was a graduate of Central High School and a lifelong resident of the Queen City. Gloria was a ballerina and loved ballet. She owned and operated the Gloria Messier Dance Studio for 18 years. She later went on to sell real estate with Ledgewood Realty and Century 21.
Gloria enjoyed traveling and took many trips to Italy. It was there that she developed her passion for cooking Italian meals. She also enjoyed knitting and her plants, especially orchids. She was a true lover of animals. Gloria spent winters in her beautiful home is St. Croix as well. She was very independent, driven, motivated. Above all else, she will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Surviving family members include her daughter, Tia L. Sullivan of Manchester; her grandson, Taylor Sullivan-Brown of Illinois; and Kikutis family. She was predeceased by both parents; her sister, Shirley Gagnon; and her brother, Robert Messier.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Service of Remembrance will begin at 1 pm on Sunday March 5th at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH 03104. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Alzheimer’s Association, NH Chapter, 166 S. River Rd., Manchester, NH 03110.
