Sr. Grace Brady (Sr. Ste. Marie Jeanne), 91, a Sister of the Presentation of Mary for 68 years, died January 10, 2007 at St. Joseph Residence, Manchester.
Born in Berlin on May 3, 1915, she was the daughter of Wilbrod and Adele (Dumont) Brady. She entered the Order of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1936, made her first profession in 1939 and her final profession in 1944.
She earned a bachelor's degree from Catholic Teachers College in Providence, RI.
Sr. Brady was an educator and taught at Duck Lake, Saskatchewan from 1939 to 1952. She later taught in Rhode Island at Coventry, Phenix and Woonsocket and in New Hampshire at Berlin, Gorham and Nashua. She was also a volunteer instructor and staff member of the Presentation of Mary Summer Camp in Hudson.
She retired in Hudson and later transferred to Manchester.
The family includes a brother, James Brady of Jefferson; a sister, Mary Jane Durdan of Berlin and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday January 13, 2007 in the Resurrection Chapel. Burial was in Presentation of Mary Cemetery, Hudson.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester was in charge of arrangements.
