Grace L. DiComes

She was born in Dillonvale, OH on February 2, 1922, the daughter of James and Minnie (Gerke) Jack. She was educated in the Dillonvale school system and graduated from Dillonvale High School in 1940.

Grace received her LPN license in nursing in 1964 and worked many years at the Sacred Heart Hospital and later at the Women's Aid Home in Manchester, NH. In her life, she loved to travel and attend Ranger reunions with her deceased companion Robert S. Pyles.

Grace raised her deceased sister's four children as her own in addition to her three children. She was predeceased by her husband Harry DiComes in 1973. She was also predeceased by her parents, her four sisters Ruth, Minnie, Mildred, Myrtle and infant brother Walter, a daughter Barbara Bruce and granddaughter Debra Bruce.

She is survived by her son James and his wife Lynn (Gill) DiComes of Bedford; her daughters, Kathleen (DiComes) Albers and husband Steve of Palm Springs, CA, Cheryl DiComes and her family Charles and Kaylee Markosy of Plano, TX, Dr. Christina DiComes and husband Raymond Morocco of Johnston, RI; 14 grandchildren including Michael DiComes and his wife Molly, Daniel DiComes, Marc DiComes and Katie DiComes and her companion Travis Gott; two great-granddaughters who were very close to her. Grace will be remembered as a caring and loving person.

A funeral service was held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester.
