Grace Michelle (Gibby) Schlickman, 56, of Hooksett, died peacefully on June 29, 2026 after a sudden illness.
Born in Manchester on May 7, 1970, she was the daughter of Grant and Swanee (Osmer) Gibby. She attended Auburn Village School and graduated from Pinkerton Academy. She later attended classes at Emerson College.
She had worked as a board operator for WMUR TV productions. After leaving WMUR, she was a freelance worker, most recently for Program Productions for many sporting events which take place in Boston, NYC and baseball spring training as well.
She was shop steward for local communication and broadcast workers, affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
She enjoyed caring for animals and supported numerous organizations including Rebuilding Warriors. She was instrumental in producing public service announcements for the Manchester Animal Shelter.
She enjoyed rowing with the Amoskeag Rowing Club. Recent adventures would include finding and visiting hidden “Trash Trolls”, giant sculptures of reclaimed materials found throughout the Country. What an adventure!
She was a member of the board of Chop Point Camp of Woolwich, ME. This was a family tradition begun in 1968 with the help of Peter Willard and her grandmother, Grace C.H. Gibby and so many others who wanted young people to have and grow in Faith with God.
Family members include her parents, Grant and Swanee Gibby of Topsham, VT; her siblings, George Gibby of Manchester, G Warren Gibby of Raymond, Glen A. Gibby of Barnstead, and Geoffrey Gibby of Piermont, NH; her husband, Robert E. Schlickman of Manchester; several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester will be Sunday, July 12 from 2 to 4 pm. A funeral service will be announced at a later date.
