Guilbert Desrochers

April 16, 1916 — January 30, 2007

Guilbert "Guil" Desrochers, 90, of Summerland Key, FL died January 30, 2007 at Country Village Nursing Home, Lancaster.

Born in Manchester on April 16, 1916, he was the son of Joseph and Laurenza (Hamel) Desrochers. He was a graduate of West High School in 1933 and attended the University of New Hampshire.

He married Irene (Fournier) Desrochers on May 30, 1939 and resided in Bedford for many years.

During World War II he served in the US Navy in the South Pacific.

Mr. Desrochers worked several years for Northeastern Distributers of Boston Ma. He later co-owned Appliance Sales & Service in Manchester and founded "Guil D" Marine Sales in Bedford.

He was a born salesman who loved fishing and boating.

He was predeceased by his wife and by a son, Paul Desrochers.

The family includes include two sons, Guilbert "Bert" Desrochers of Maidstone Lake, VT. and Leo Desrochers of Manchester; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday February 2, 2007 in Parish of the Transfiguration, corner of Kelley and Youville streets, Manchester. Rev. George Desjardins officiated. Committal prayers followed at Mount Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 Rte. 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110.
