Harriet Gill

July 16, 1925 — June 3, 2013

Harriet Gill, 87, of Bedford died June 3, 2013 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Detroit, MI on July 16, 1925, she was the daughter of Theodore and Stella (Heimberger) Schenk.

Prior to her retirement, she and her husband had owned and operated Gill's Bait Shop for 27 years.

Harriet enjoyed gardening, listening to country music, spending time at their second home in Port St. John, Florida and was fortunate enough to travel with her husband across country during their 25 year retirement. Above all else, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years George S. Gill in 2002 and one daughter Dona Lynn Gill in 1949.

Family members include four daughters, Lana Gagnon of Bedford, Lynn DiComes and her husband James of Bedford, Dawn Jackson and her husband Ralph of Manchester, Karin Bolton of Bedford; her grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Marc, and Katie DiComes, Jason Bolton, Matthew Eskel, Holly Rhodes, Christopher and Patrick Gagnon; her great-grandchildren, Emma and Abby DiComes, Gavin, MaKenna, and Quinn Bolton, Rianne Eskel, Kaycie Rhodes, Kaylee and Madden Gagnon, and Gracie Gagnon; one sister, Margaret Koski of Pinardville; many nephews and nieces.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, June 6, 2013 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road, Bedford. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.
