Harvey J. Dupuis

October 15, 1919 — February 6, 2003

Herve "Harvey" J. Dupuis, 83, of Goffstown, died February 6, 2003, at Catholic Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Manchester, October 15, 1919, he was the son of Wilfred and Eugenie (Roy) Dupuis.

He was a lifelong resident of Goffstown.

For 50 years Mr. Dupuis was president of the family business that was started by his dad, Wilfred in 1935. It was originally called the Wilfred Dupuis Wood Hay and Grain Co. and later as the Mast Rd. Grain & Building Materials Co. He retired in 1997.

He spent his remaining years at the Courville At Manchester, nursing care facility.

In 1985 he served as president of the NH Retail Lumberman Association.

An avid golfer, he held memberships in both the Manchester Country Club and the Derryfield Country Club.

In his early years he spent time hunting and fishing.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army from 1942 to 1945rMr. Dupuis was a veteran of the United States Army from 1942 to 1945.

He was a lifelong member of St. Edmond Parish. In addition he was a member of the Catholic War Veterans.

Family members include his wife of 61 years Doris (Clement) Dupuis of Goffstown; 3 daughters, Irene Platt of Manchester, Lucille St. Germaine of Waltham MA, Jacqueline Smith, of Goffstown; 4 sons, Richard Dupuis, of Dunbarton, Ronald Dupuis, of Goffstown, Robert Dupuis of Weare, Marcel Dupuis of Hooksett; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday February 10, 2003 in St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave. Manchester.

Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery,474 Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
