Heather (Morrill) Nelson, 60, of Manchester, died December 12, 2020 at her home after a brave battle with cancer.

She was born in Lebanon on September 12, 1960 to Ralph and Margaret (MacKay) Morrill. She grew up in Newton, MA and had lived in New Hampshire for the past 32 years.

She earned a bachelor's degree from Colby College in Waterville, ME.

Heather was a senior program manager for IBM, where she had worked for many years. She had also been a manager at Progress Software for several years.

Heather loved the outdoors, enjoying long bicycle rides, walks in the woods, camping trips, skiing and shopping with friends. She also enjoyed traveling the world to visit family and friends. She especially cherished any time spent with her immediate family and close friends.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jeffrey E. Nelson of Manchester; two children, Ian C. Nelson and his wife, Julie, of Manchester and Jennifer M.J. Nelson of Allston, MA; her mother, Margaret Julian of Cocoa, FL; her father, Ralph Morrill and his wife, Merioni, of Hillsboro, OR; a sister, Kinley Nagle of Manchester; a step-brother, Scott Julian and his wife, Bridget, of Saginaw MI; and two cousins, a niece and three nephews.

SERVICES: A walk-through visitation with masks, social distancing and limited interaction with the family is Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. A private funeral ceremony with interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Suite 110, Bedford, NH 03110.
