Helen D. Carter

Helen D. (Zurek) Carter, 91, of Bedford died September 21, 2004 at Ridgewood Center-Genesis Eldercare Network in Bedford after a long illness.

Born in Manchester on November 22, 1912, she was the daughter of Francis and Mary (Oprzadek) Zurek. She graduated from St. Casimir School and lived in Manchester most of her life.

Mrs. Carter worked at several Manchester area shoe manufacturers for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lyman Carter in 1998 and by two sons, Ronald Carter Sr. in 1995 and Richard Carter in 1998.

The family includes two daughters, Priscilla Jobin and Susan Lord both of Manchester; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday September 24, 2004 in St. Hedwig Church, corner of Beech and Orange streets, Manchester. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Calef Rd., Manchester.
