Helen A. (Feyand) Hiltz, 62, of Hooksett, died peacefully on October 30, 2016 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Bremerhaven, Germany on May 29, 1954, the daughter of Allan and Helga (Feyand) Currier. She lived in Auburn for 30 years before moving to Hooksett in 2016. She earned a bachelor's degree from UNH.
She worked for 43 years at Osram Sylvania as a supervisor and buyer before retiring in 2008. In retirement, she enjoyed working for the Town of Auburn for five years as the director of Parks and Recreation.
Helen and her husband Terry had a passion for photography. She had an amazing personality and a great sense of humor. She was always caring and thoughtful to all she encountered. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, step mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
The family includes her husband of 25 years, Terrance C. Hiltz of Hooksett; a step daughter, Kimberly Brady and her children, Cera and Emily Brady all of Manchester; two siblings, Jennie Beaupre of Manchester and Bruce Currier of Bedford; a sister-in-law, Elaine Whittemore of Manchester; a nephew, Alex Currier and three nieces, Susie Whittemore, Alicia Gerade and Sydney Currier . She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Willi Feyand.
A funeral ceremony was held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Longmeadow Congregational Church, 4 Wilson Crossing Road, Auburn. Committal prayers followed at Auburn Village Cemetery, Auburn.
