Helen (Margomenos) Kehas, 90, of Manchester, NH passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2023, after a brief period of declining health.
Born in Manchester, NH on June 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Margomenos and Kichia (Tsetseranos) Margomenos. She graduated from Youngsville School and Manchester High School Central, class of 1951. Helen worked at the downtown location of the Puritan Restaurant typing menus and performing office tasks. Later, she worked as a secretary at various locations while her husband completed his graduate studies.
She was married for 62 years to the late Dr. Chris D. Kehas, prominent educator and pillar of the Greater Manchester community.

She was also an annual volunteer at the Glendi Greek Festival at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Manchester alongside her husband and her late sister, Vasilike Isaak.
Always active, she ice-skated, played tennis, bowled, enjoyed playing cards and bingo, making puzzles, Greek dancing, and baking Greek pastries. She was a frequent patron of the Puritan Backroom Restaurant and the Merrimack Restaurant (which closed in 2008). She loved attending the sporting events of her grandnieces and grandnephews, and spending time at her summer home at Jenness Beach in Rye. She was a legendary maker of Christmas stockings for her loved ones and enjoyed traveling, especially to area casinos.
Helen was affectionately known as “Auntie” to so many friends and family, always sharing her kindness, wisdom, love, and generosity. She was selfless and humble and will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving aunt, and dedicated and loyal friend. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
