Helen C. Mroz

She was born in Manchester, January 8, 1916, and was the daughter of Michael and Karolina (Berezowski) Kwarciany. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

She was a communicant of St. Marie Church. In addition, she had been a member of the Marija Konopnickiej Society, the Polish National Alliance Lodge 2486, the Polish National Union of America Branch 213, and the American Association of Retired Persons.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who had a very hard work ethic. As a homemaker she enjoyed growing indoor houseplants and taking great care of her yard. She loved gardening and observing all of nature from her own back yard.

She was a great admirer of Pope John Paul II.

She enjoyed car rides through the White Mountains of NH. She also enjoyed watching cooking programs on the Food Network and loved watching sports events on television, especially UNH Men's Hockey.

Her first married residence was at UNH where her husband, Joseph L. Mroz Sr., was chief clerk of the Air Force ROTC. She maintained an interest in the UNH community throughout her life.

She was married to Joseph L. Mroz, Sr., who died in 1986. In addition, she was predeceased by her first husband, Walter J. Warchol, who was killed in action in Italy in 1944. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Nancy H. Mroz in 2006.

She leaves two sons, Dr. Frank M. Mroz , and his wife Paula, of Bangor, ME, Joseph L. Mroz, Jr., of Manchester; three grandchildren, Katherine Mroz, Matthew Mroz, and Caroline Mroz, all of Bangor, ME.
