Henry R. Blanchette, 95, of Manchester, died June 26, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center after a period of declining health.
He was born in Berlin on December 15, 1921 to Napoleon and Marie Anne (Gagne) Blanchette. He lived in Berlin for most of his life and several years in Dover before recently moving to Manchester.
Henry worked in the paper industry in Berlin at Brown Company for many years. He enjoyed music and family reunions.
He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Yvette I. (Morneau) Blanchette in 2010; four adult siblings, Louis Blanchette, Paul Blanchette, Yvonne Othot and Jeannette Goyette and six siblings who died in infancy and early childhood.
The family includes a daughter, Sarah Blanchette of Manchester; a daughter-in-law, Karen Blanchette of Manchester; three grandchildren, Kimberly and her husband, Ben, Kristin and her husband, Bob, and Amanda; five great grandchildren, Meghan, Kaitlyn, Isabella, Avery and Connor; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church, 265 So. Main St., Manchester. Committal prayers were held at St. Kieran Cemetery in Berlin on Tuesday, July 11,
