He was born in Manchester on December 31, 1928 to Henry J. and Yvonne (Drolet) Bourgeois. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
During World War II he served in the US Navy.
Mr. Bourgeois was the owner and operator of Stark Engineering Company in Manchester for many years.
He was a board member of the Manchester Crime Line and the Manchester Fire Prevention, and was currently serving as a member of the Manchester Highway Commission.
He was a member of Elks Lodge 146 in Hooksett, American Legion Post 79 in Manchester, Hillsborough County Law Enforcement and The Hundred Club of New Hampshire.
He enjoyed collecting antique cars.
The family includes his wife of 51 years, Joan D. (Klapsa) Bourgeois of Manchester; three children, Robert Bourgeois of Chaplin, CT, Valerie Damiano of Uncasville, CT and Kevin Bourgeois of New Boston; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
