She was born in Manchester July 29, 1923 the daughter of Idola and Elodie (Rousseau) Robert. She attended Villa Augustina and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Hermine worked many years as a nurse's aid in maternity and the nursery of the former Sacred Heart Hospital.
She was married 66 years to George O. Gentes who died in 2009. In addition she was predeceased by two sons, Ronald L. Gentes in 2006 and Donald A. Gentes in 2011.
She leaves four children, Vivian Gentes, Nancy Gentes, both of Rindge, Theresa Crosby and her husband, Steve, of Manchester, and Constance Hartley and her husband, Craig, of Hooksett; a daughter in-law, Carol Gentes of Manchester; six grandchildren, Jesse J. Gentes, Shawn Collins, Jennifer Collins, Travis Gentes, Kathleen Gentes, and Eric Leclerc; 10 great grandchildren; two nieces, Susan Ramos of Auburn and Janet Chase of Goffstown; two great nephews, Leonard Faucher Jr. of Connecticut and Richard Anderson of Goffstown.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
