Hilda Rose (Lavigne) (Bastien) Lombard, 94, of Goffstown, died May 4, 2017 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
She was born in St. Anne de Beaupre, Quebec, Canada on September 16, 1922 and was the daughter of Arthur and Eva (Pare) Lavigne. She lived in Massachusetts in Lowell and Malden for many years before moving to New Hampshire in 2001.
Hilda Rose worked as an accounting administrator at MIT Press in Cambridge, MA and at General Electric in Lowell, MA.
She was musically talented and enjoyed playing cards. She also loved decorating at Christmas.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Emile Bastien in 1969 and her second husband, Burnham R. Lombard, Jr. in March of this year.
The family includes two sons, Normand E. Bastien, Sr. and his wife, Catherine, of North Ft. Myers, FL and Gerard E. Bastien and his wife, Denise, of Manchester; four grandchildren, Cathy-Jo Reed, Normand E. Bastien, Jr., Daniel G. Bastien and Jeffrey R. Bastien; seven great grandchildren, Jack Reed, Eva Reed, Rhys Bastien, Shelby Lee Bastien, Adelaide Bastien, Catherin Bastien and Elenore Rose Bastien; and many nieces and nephews.
A cemetery committal service for Hilda Rose and her husband, Burnham R. Lombard, Jr. was held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester assisted the family with arrangements.
