Hubert T. Carroll

Hubert T. Carroll, 91, of Manchester, died August 13, 2003, at the Veterans Administration Nursing Home, after a brief illness.

Born in Butte Montana, on August 24, 1911, he was the son of Hubert and Elizabeth (Barnes) Carroll, he lived Manchester all of his life.

Mr. Carroll, was a Union brick mason working for many area contractors. He retired in 1969.He was considered the person to beat when it came to playing cribbage and checkers. While at the VA, he was a strong presence at the Saturday morning sing alongs.

Family members include his wife of 67years, Patricia (Keane) Carroll, of Manchester; 2 daughters, Patricia Carroll Early, and Maureen McQuade, both of Manchester; 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service took place, Friday August 15, 2003 at the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.Flowers are to be omitted.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street assisted the family with the arrangements.
