She was born in Manchester on November 18, 1927 to Henri and Juliette (Messier) Bergeron. She was lifelong resident of Manchester.
She was a communicant of St. Pius X Church and a member of the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary and the Daughters of the Purple Heart.
Irene lived her life dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren
She was married to Benoit J. "Ben" Boisvert who died in 1995. She was also predeceased by her stepmother, Alphonsine (Delisle) Bergeron.
The family includes five children, Russell Boisvert and his wife, Ruth, of Portland, ME, Maureen Lascelles and her husband, Richard, of Litchfield, Douglas Boisvert of Manchester, Karen Boisvert of Concord and Steven Boisvert and his wife, Lynelle, of Bow; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Pius X Church, corner of Candia Road and Sarto Street, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech Street, Manchester.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester assisted the family with arrangements.
