Irene (Rousseau) Gelinas, 86, of Worcester, MA, died May 28, 2020 at the home of her granddaughter after a long period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester, NH on April 6, 1934 to Rodrigue and Marie-Ange (Roy) Rousseau. She grew up in Manchester and lived in Ashburnham, MA for many years before moving to Worcester six years ago.
Irene had worked as a secretary for Army Communications Services at Ft. Devens, MA for 15 years. She had also volunteered at Worcester Elder Services. She enjoyed music, shopping, food and traveling.
She was predeceased by her husband, Andre N. Gelinas, in 2013 and by a brother, Gerry Rousseau.
The family includes two children, Gary Gelinas of West Virginia and Andrea Sutton and her husband, Jasper, of North Carolina; two grandchildren. Jennifer Trudeau and her husband, Bryan, of Worcester, MA and Julianne Moore of West Virginia; and a sister, Pauline Charpentier, of California.
SERVICES: There are no services. Private interment will be at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum in Manchester, NH
