Irene G. Lacourse

She was born in Manchester, December 14, 1923, and was the daughter of Hector and Emma (Charron) Vigneault. She was a lifelong resident of this city.

Mrs. Lacourse was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a former member of the Sodality of St. Anne. She had volunteered as a Den Mother for Cub Scout Troop 135. She was also a member of Sweeney Post Auxiliary and the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary.

She leaves her husband of 63 years, Joseph M. Lacourse of Manchester; seven sons, George E. Lacourse of Raleigh, NC, Dennis J. Lacourse of Cape Coral, FL, Richard M. Lacourse of Auburn, NH, Robert G. Lacourse of Gilbert, AZ, Joseph M. Lacourse, Donald G. Lacourse, and Brian D. Lacourse, all of Manchester; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a brother, Edward Vigneault of Ft. Myers, FL; a sister, Doris Sanborn of Ft. Myers, FL; many nieces & nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, January 19, 2009 in Sacred Heart Church. Burial was in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, where a committal service was held Tuesday, January 20, 2009.
