Irene D. Perras, 98, of Manchester, NH died September 25, 2006 at a local health care facility after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on April 4, 1908, the daughter of Theophile and Albina (Rivard) Dupont. She was educated in the local school system.
Many years ago, she had been employed as a sales woman by Wexler's Dress Shop and also Beacon Way Yard Goods.
Irene was a lovely lady who was admired by all who knew her. She was a member of the Monastery of the Precious Blood Society and most recently a communicant of St. Joseph Cathedral.
She was a long time communicant of the former St. George Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur E. Perras in 1985, and by her son, Ralph Perras in 2002.
Members of her family include a daughter, Arlene Johnson of Manchester; a devoted daughter-in-law, Pauline Perras-Beaulieu of Manchester; four grandchildren, Colleen Walrath of Manchester, Steven Perras of Pittsfield, NH, Cheryl Healy of Manchester, and Shani Perras of Manchester; eight great-grandchildren, Tony, Rachel, Nicholas, Ryan, Ian, Kendra, Sydney, and Noah; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in the Chapel at St. Joseph Cathedral on Friday September 29, 2006. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery.
