Irene R. Provost

March 4, 1920 — July 6, 2009

Irene R. (Marcoux) Provost, 89, of Manchester died July 6, 2009 at Bedford Hills Healthcare Center after a long illness.

Born in Manchester on March 4, 1920, she was the daughter of Norbert and Emma (Adams) Marcoux. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

Mrs. Provost worked as an executive secretary at Amoskeag Bank for many years.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and a longtime communicant of Ste. Marie Church.

The family includes two sons, Armand Provost of Pittston, ME and Marc Provost of Manchester; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two sisters, Georgette Proulx of California and Lucille Benson of Minnesota; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, July 10, 2009 at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
