James T. Bernier

James T. Bernier, 69, of Bow, NH died June 24, 2012 at Concord Hospice after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

He was born in Manchester September 11, 1942 and was the son of Robert H. and Ursula (Laurie) Bernier. He lived most of his life in Manchester and had been a resident of Bow the last 18 years.

He retired in 2005 after working 45 years as a utility inspector for the City of Manchester.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He was an avid golfer and a golf club maker. In earlier years he was a member of the Derryfield Country Club. After retiring he was a member of the Beaver Meadow Country Club in Concord. He was also a member of the NH Senior Golfers Association and the US Golfers Association.

He leaves his wife of 50 years, Nancy L. (Allen) Bernier of Bow; a son, David J. Bernier of Manchester; two grandchildren, Ryan and Nicole Bernier; two sisters, Joanne Martineau of Hooksett and Mary Leonard of Manchester; nieces and nephews.

Services were private.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester was in charge of arrangements.
