James C. Booker, 80, of Manchester died January 10, 2023, at Elliot Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Miami, FL on November 19, 1942, he was the son of the late James Booker and Irene (Desrochers) Noden. He was educated in Manchester and attended Central High School. James served in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1961. He was an employee of Anheuser-Busch for over 30 years before retiring in 2003.
James was a member of the Catholic War Veterans and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed watching western and Hallmark movies, along with attending train shows, woodworking, making puzzles, and an avid card/game player. James was a kind man and a caring soul. Above all else, he will be remembered as a devoted, loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
Surviving family members include his beloved wife of 56 years, Suzanne J. (Poirer) of Manchester; two sons, Scott E. Booker and wife Deborah of Dover and Craig J. Booker and husband Mark of Miami, FL; four grandchildren, Julia and Ella Booker and Samantha and Joshua Bloom; two brothers, Ernest Booker and wife Jeanne of Allenstown and Robert Booker and wife Rita of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both parents.
SERVICES: One hour of visitation beginning at 9am and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am will be held Tuesday, January 17th at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford, NH. Committal will be Wednesday, January 18th at 11 am at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
