James A. Dakoulas

James A. "Chilly" Dakoulas, 73, of Manchester died May 2, 2007 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a long illness.

Born in Manchester on May 13, 1933, he was the son of Athanasios and Katherine (Perestiri) Dakoulas. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

He served in the US Army for two years in the 1950's.

Mr. Dakoulas worked as a leather cutter for Salvage Shoe Company and Johnson Shoe Company in Manchester and Clicker Shoe Company in Methuen, MA. He also worked for Energy North in Manchester for many years.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Trouts Unlimited.

The family includes his wife of 52 years, Judy (Leafe) Dakoulas of Manchester; six children, Arthur Dakoulas, Kevin Dakoulas, Stephanie Dakoulas all of Manchester, Mark Dakoulas of Vermont, and James Dakoulas and Scott Dakoulas both of Manchester; six grandchildren; three sisters, Ethel George, Mary Koukas and Georgia Nacos all of Manchester; a brother, Peter Dakoulas of Manchester and several nieces an nephews.

The funeral was held Monday May 7, 2007 at the funeral home.
