Born in Lowell, MA on May 17, 1948, he was the son of James F. and Frances (Pushee) Drury II. He grew up in Dracut, MA and has lived in the Lakes Region for 18 years.
During the Vietnam War he served in the US Air Force.
Mr. Drury worked as a manager for Fedex for 30 years, and later as a bridge maintenance supervisor for the State of New Hampshire.
He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 41 and served as vice president of the New Hampshire Veterans Association.
The family includes his wife of 12 years, Theresa C. (Goulet) Drury of Sanbornton; three children, Lisa Lyman of Groton, Amanda Armstrong with the US Air Force in Germany, and Justine Drury of Katy, TX; a step daughter, Jessica Amato of Wakefield; and eight grandchildren.
IN HIS LIFE: He enjoyed motorcycling, snowmobiling and Friday nights at Tilton House of Pizza. He had many friends and will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
A committal service with military honors was held Friday, December 18, 2009 at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
