James F."Uncle Bum" Gardner, 59 of Manchester died March 31 2002 in Concord Hospitial after a lengthy illness.
He was born on June 21, 1942 in Rochester, and was the son of Armand and Ruth (Loyd) Gardner. He attended the Daniel Webster School for boys, where he learned to play the guitar.
He lived most of his life in Manchester where he spent a great deal of his time fishing and boating. He had a real sense of humor that many of his friends became the victims of.
Family members include a daughter, Jodi Woods of Manchester; a son Scott Gardner of Candia; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; 2 sisters, Germaine Deshong of Chambersburgh PA. and Elizabeth Lajoie of Allenstown; two brothers Gerard Gardner of Rochester, and Peter Gardner of Stanhope NJ.; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
A Service of Remembrance was held at the Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, on Wednesday April 3,2002.
