James "Jim" Biron

September 24, 1949 — August 13, 2017

James "Jim" Biron, 67, of Manchester, died August 13, 2017 after a valiant battle with cancer.

Born in Manchester on September 24, 1949 to the late Paul and Margaret (Myers) Biron, he resided in Manchester for most of his life.

Jim graduated from Bishop Bradley High School in 1967 and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Saratoga. He worked for many years at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and Sam's Club.

Jim enjoyed road trips, history books, telling stories, grilled steak for dinner and the New York Yankees. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He is survived by his wife, Iris Christine Langley of Manchester; three children, Hillary Louis (Derek) of Manchester and their sons, Samuel and Andrew; Heidi Biron of Allenstown and her daughters, Hazel, Ila and Grace Dionne; and Daniel Biron of Northwood and his daughter, Lillian; five stepchildren, Erika Parent (Steven Bunnell) of Bradford and her sons, Joshua (Bethany Milne and their son, Logan) and Isaac; Aaron Blais (Julie Gilligan) of Hampton and their children, Austyn and Jameson; Vanessa Blais (Todd Tetley) of Manchester and her daughter, Zoe Grenier; Travis Blais (Sara Wells) of Andover, MA and their children, Xavier, Amelia Condon, Reagan, Mallory and Julian; and Autumn Blais of Putney, VT and her daughters, Havah, Fern and Miriam Patton; a brother, John Biron (Norma) of Radcliff, KY; a sister-in-law, Debra Chase of Rye; and extended family. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Biron.

A cemetery committal service with military honors was held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
