He was educated in the Lynn school system, and earned his diploma in 1975 from the electrician's program at Lynn Vocational Technical Institute. While there, he started for the varsity football team and earned All-State recognition in track and field.
After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served for 4 years at K.I. Sawyer AFB in Michigan. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Lynn and earned his A.S. in Electro-Mechanical Technology from North Shore Community College. He went on to obtain his Master's Electrician License and was employed at General Electric.
After moving to Maine he worked at the Bath Iron Works. He later relocated his family to NH, where he was self-employed. Throughout his life he was an avid outdoorsman and sports fan.
In addition to his parents, he leaves behind his wife Catherine (Murchie) Kalloger, of Manchester; a daughter Dusty, and her husband Ryan Urquhart, and their son, Clayton, of Maine; 3 sons, Christopher, Joshua, and Sean all of NH; a sister Diane Kalloger; a nephew James, and great aunt June Liffin of Massachusetts; his brother, Daniel , and his wife Linda Kalloger; a niece Lisa, of NH; his favorite cat, Minnie; and many other friends and relatives.
Services were private.
Burial was in the Veterans lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn MA.
