James B. Miller

   James B. Miller, 57, of Manchester, NH, died on June 7th, 2023 at the Elliot Hospital surrounded by his family after a brief illness.

   He was born in Springfield, MA on November 8th, 1965, to Bruce and Isabella (Leitch) Miller. He grew up in Schenectady, NY and lived in Manchester for many years.

   Jim was the owner and operator of Superior Turf Care and had been working in that industry for over 30 years.

   Family was very important to Jim. He cherished the times he could spend going to family gatherings, bonfires and sporting events participated in by nieces and nephews. He loved his New York Yankees, Giants, Rangers, and Knicks. A passionate sports fan, Jim loved discussing the sports news of the day with his friends and family. He loved his four dogs: Apollo, Zeus, Shadow and Kozzy. He and Cathy enjoyed camping with friends in upstate New York. They also loved traveling together and attending car shows.

   He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford.

   Jim was predeceased by his parents and father-in-law Richard O'Connor.

   He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Catherine (O'Connor) Miller of Manchester, his uncle, Reverend Paul Miller, and his wife Peggy, of Las Cruces, NM; cousins; his mother-in-law, Josephine (Palmisano) O'Connor of Naples, FL; sisters-in-law, Carolyn (O'Connor) and Erik John of Naples, FL and Patty (O'Connor) and Dwight Wallace of Machias, ME; a brother-in-law, Jeff O'Connor and Beth (Boyle) of Manchester; nieces and nephews, Nathaniel, Ethan, Corra Rose John, Olivia Vose, Lauren and Samuel Wallace.

   SERVICES: Calling hours are Thursday (6/15) from 4 to 7pm at Lambert Funeral Home and Crematory, 1799 Elm Street Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday (6/16) at 10am at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road, Bedford. Private burial will be held at Hope Cemetery in Barre, VT at the convenience of the family.
