James Gardner Nyberg, 61, of Manchester died January 10th 2024 at his residence after a period of declining health.
Born in Manchester on June 9th, 1962. He was the son of Roger Nyberg and Patricia Gardner Nyberg McKee.
Being introduced to swimming at a young age at the Manchester YMCA and earning the nickname, 'Smiley', he later attended and graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy on a swimming scholarship. He then attended Keene State College.
Most recently he had been employed as a server at The Bedford Village Inn.
Jim loved music and dreamed of one day performing as his own 'One Man Band'.
He is survived by his brother, Charles Nyberg, of Manchester; his sisters, Debra Nyberg and husband, Mike Murray of Walpole, NH, Sandra Chaloux and husband, Jerry of East Montpelier, VT; his father and stepmother, Roger and Ellen Nyberg of Bradenton, FL; three nephews, two nieces, two great nephews, and three great nieces.
A Celebration of Jim's life will be announced at a later date.
