James M. Parker

James M. Parker, 66, of Belmont, NH, died unexpectedly October 3, 2010 at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.

He was born in Lancaster, NH September 27, 1944 to Amasa and Bertrice (Dustin) Parker. He lived in Whitefield, NH for a time and later moved to Manchester where he lived for many years. He had been a resident of Belmont, NH and Port Orange, FL. since 2005.

He was a graduate of Concord College.

He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He had also been a member of the Exchange Club.

Mr. Parker was a certified network administrator and worked for Normandeau Associates for a time and later owned and operated BBC Computers. He then worked for Notre Dame College and retired from Hesser College where he worked several years.

Jim loved outdoor activities, country and western music, and was an avid car enthusiast.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in our hearts.

He leaves his wife of 44 years, Claire E. (Houde) Parker of Belmont; a daughter, Jennifer Dickinson and her husband, Roger, of Manchester; and a granddaughter, Alexandra Bresse of Manchester. He was recently predeceased by his sister, Charlotte Colman.

The funeral was held on Thursday, October 7, 2010 in the funeral home. Burial, with military honors, took place at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
