He served in the United States Navy.
For many years James was a self-employed finish carpenter by trade and will be remembered as a true Picasso of woodworking. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and being near his woodstove. He was also an avid gardener. He was a Miami Dolphins fan as well as a Boston Red Sox fan. He family fondly remembers him playing his guitar and harmonica,he will be missed.
IN HIS LIFE: Family members include his wife of 33 years, Joan (Jacoby) Sarette, of Manchester; 3 daughters, Tammy Couture, of MA, Christl Rush, of FL, Kristen Herlicka, of Bedford; 3 sons, Jim Sarette, of Manchester, Daniel Sarette, of FL, Richard Genest, of Manchester; his siblings, Richard Sarette, of CA, Robert Sarette, of Goffstown, Lucille Carrier, of Manchester, Claire Charest, of FL, Dennis Sarette, of Goffstown, Nancy Goudbout, of Goffstown; 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; 1 aunt Jean Sarette, of Goffstown; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; he was predeceased by a sister, Irene LaFlamme, a brother, John Sarette.
A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, June 20, 2011 at St. Pius X Church, Candia Rd. Manchester.
Burial followed in Shirley Hill Cemetery, Mountain Rd. Goffstown.
