James graduated from Concord High School in 1934 and from Boston University in 1950, with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Business Administration. He was one of the four class officers of Concord High School to establish a scholarship given yearly to a worthy student. This is now handled by the Charitable Association in Concord, NH, as most of the classmates are now deceased. James served in World War II, mainly in Central Europe and Czechoslovakia. He was married to his lovely wife Cecile (Sirois) Sartorelli for 66 years. He worked at Faltin Trucking and then at Stanley Elevator Co. in Nashua, where he retired as Comptroller. He then volunteered, for 15 years, at the VA Hospital
James loved to travel. His first trip to Europe was to Italy, with Cecile, to visit his parent's home in Saltrio Varese where they were treated like royalty by his distant cousins. While with family, they enjoyed their time at Lake Lugano. James took two more trips to Europe, visiting different countries. He and Cecile went to Bermuda many times, Bahamas and St. Marteen as well as many states. He was also an avid golfer and member of Derryfield Country Club for many years, as well as a communicant of St. Joseph Cathederal.
Survivors include his wife Cecile of Manchester; son Stephen Sartorelli, and wife Catherine, of Auburn; two daughters, Brenda Wade, and husband John, of Manchester and Karen Carle, and husband Philip, of Hooksett; nine grandchildren, Andrew Sartorelli, Patrick, Jeffrey and Gregory Wade, Lauren and Caroline Carle, Sarah Flynn Cook and Kenneth Flynn; three great grandchildren, Juliette Wade and Griffin and Brenden Cook; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter, Nancy Sartorelli Flynn in 2008; grandson, Matthew R. Sartorelli in 2003; and son in law, Paul D. Flynn, Jr. in 1980. The Sartorelli Family would like to thank Mount Carmel Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to James.
