James W. "Jim" Morin

James W. “Jim” Morin, 81, of Bedford, died October 13, 2022 at the Arbors of Bedford, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Manchester on October 2, 1941, he was the son of William F. and Hazel M. (Case) Morin.  He was educated in Manchester and a graduate of West High School.  Jim worked in construction during his lifetime and was a member of four generations of owners and operators of Morin Construction, alongside his father, son and grandson before retiring in 2011.  Even in retirement, Jim worked part time in the family business.

Jim was very passionate about both his work and his family.  He was an extremely hard worker and an all around great guy.  He enjoyed time spent at the lake house on Winnipesaukee, where even when relaxing, he would be fixing and tinkering with things.   Above all else, Jim will be remembered as a devoted and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend.

Surviving family members include his father, William F. Morin of Bedford; his wife of 60 years, Constance (Bernier) Morin of Bedford; three children, Robert Morin, Sr. of Bedford, Susan Morin of Bedford and Colleen Morin of Bedford; three grandchildren, Robert Morin, Jr. and wife Chelsea of Manchester, Timothy Morin and wife Laura of Pinardville and William Morin of Bedford; five great grandchildren, Sawyer, Scarlett, Layla, Michael and Rose Morin; three siblings, Marion Zayac of Bedford, Ruth Scrimenti and husband Benjamin of Ovieda, FL and Edward Morin and wife Susan of Orlando, FL; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his mother, Hazel M. Morin in 2015; and one brother, William J. Morin.

SERVICES:  Calling hours are from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH 03104.  A funeral service will begin at 10am on Friday in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home.  Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford, NH 03110.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to:  Parkinson’s Foundation New England Chapter, Attn: Donor Services, 200 SE 1st St., Ste. 800, Miami, FL 33131.
