Jane Brown

She was born in West Concord, MA on September 3, 1924, the daughter of Ivan D. and Laura P. (Curley) Servais. She attended Concord Academy and graduated from Radcliff College in 1946 with a degree in political science. She also attended the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston.

For many years, Jane had worked as a secretary at the First Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville. Previously, she had also worked at the First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville.

Jane loved gardening, cooking and art. She was a member of the Hendersonville Country Club, the Hendersonville Garden Club, the Arts Council, the Antique Club, Jr. Welfare Club and Cotillion Club. She was also a proud member of the Harvard Club and served on the club's board for several years. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Parish and served on the parish council, finance committee, women's guild, and also volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister.

Above all else, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family.

Her husband Rhoderick E. Brown died in 2010 and she was also predeceased by a sister, Joan Coleman of Dover, MA.

Family members include her daughters, Sr. Laura Rhoderica Brown, FSP of Boston, Suzanne DiIulio and husband Paul of Manchester; her sons, Stephen G. Brown and wife Rita of Grapevine, TX, Dr. Rhoderick E. Brown Jr. and wife Laurie of Austin, MN; grandchildren, Caroline, Christopher, Alec, Rachel, Clare, Danielle, Laura, Anne, Joseph, and John; one sister, Suzanne Antogoni and husband Joseph of Carlisle, MA; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, November 26, 2011 in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Manchester. Burial was in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord, MA.
