Jane A. Waible

March 24, 1932 — January 23, 2025

Jane A. Waible, 92, of Bedford, NH, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, at Bedford Falls Assisted Living.

Born in Natick, MA on March 24, 1932, she was the daughter of Edward Hughes and Delia Hughes of Natick, MA. Jane was married to the late Col. Leo C. Waible, Jr. for 66 years. They grew up in Natick, MA since they were 4 years old. They moved to Bedford, NH in October of 1980 where they resided permanently. Jane was an R.N. and her favorite past-times were traveling, fishing, boating, painting, sports (especially football with an occasional bet or two), reading, oceans/lakes, flowers, movies, and most importantly her family.

Jane was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to so many. She will be remembered as very loving and kind-hearted with a little spunk. She will be missed immensely. 

She is survived by her son, Leo Waible, III and his wife, Barbara Waible of Northboro, MA, her son, Edward Waible and his wife, Karen Waible of Nashua, NH, her daughter, Laura Azorian of Merrimack, NH and Valrie Waible, wife of Stephen Waible (deceased). She leaves behind her grandchildren Leo Waible, IV, Meredith Waible, Vanessa Feeney, and her husband, Ryan Feeney, Stephen Waible, Jr., Kilian Waible, Sophia Waible, Gregory Smith and Kelsi Waible. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren, Leo Waible, V (Arlo) and Eden Waible, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister Joan Leary, sister Mary Beth Naeger, her son, Stephen P. Waible and husband Col. Leo C. Waible, Jr.

SERVICES: Calling hours are from 4PM to 7PM on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03104. A mass of Catholic services and burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 31, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Seton, 190 Meetinghouse Road, Bedford, NH at 10:00 followed by service at the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery at 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
