Janelle Bordeleau, 69, of Bedford, NH passed away at CMC hospital after a long illness on January 6, 2025.

Jan was the daughter of Paul and Wilma Bordeleau of Bedford, and the sister of Edward Bordeleau and Phillip Bordeleau. She was born in Lowell, MA on June 17, 1955 and grew up in Framingham, MA and Bedford, NH. She began studying piano with her father at age 8; at 13 she started studying organ and began playing organ at St. Jeremiah Church a year later. After moving to Bedford in 1971 she attended high school at Trinity HS, class of 1973, and began her professional music career, working in a band at 16.

 Jan attended New England Conservatory and graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1977. Her first job after college was as a product specialist for Emminent Organs, later moved to New York City, Denver, CO, and Dallas Texas working in IT and music. She returned to New Hampshire in 2001. Jan’s church organist positions included Brookside Congregational Church, Salem Congregational Church, St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Goffstown, Temple Adath Yeshurun, and Hooksett Congregational Church, from which she retired in August, 2024. She also taught a number of piano and keyboard students, was the music director for the Regional Idol Scholarship Competition from 2012-2020, and served as accompanist for the Trinity High School Choir 2023-2024. She lived a life filled with music.

A memorial service will be held at Hooksett Congregational Church, 5 Veterans Dr. in Hooksett on January 16 at 7:00pm.
