Janet Demers

Sr. Janet Demers, PM (Sr. Robert-de-Marie), 75, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, died October 7, 2019 at the Elliot Hospital.
She was born in Manchester, NH on October 31, 1943, the daughter of Ivan and Berthe (Richer) Demers.
Sister made her religious profession to the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary on August 15, 1964.
She was involved in community services in Rhode Island and New Hampshire. She retired at ST. Joseph I in Manchester, NH in 1995 and at St. Joseph II in 2016.
Family members include her mother, Berthe Demers of Manchester; her brothers, Raymond and Lorraine, Robert and Sara; her sister, Suzanne and Robert Piotrowski, all of New Hampshire. She is also mourned by nieces, nephews, and a great-grandnephew. She was predeceased by her father, Ivan Demers.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, October 11, 2019 in the chapel at St. Marie Residence, 495 Mammoth Road, Manchester. Burial followed at Presentation of Mary Cemetery in Hudson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Presentation of Mary Retirement Fund, 495 Mammoth Road, Manchester, NH 03104.
