Janet M. (Marcoux) Maurier, 92, of Manchester died September 16th, 2016 at the Elliot Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Portsmouth, NH on February 2nd, 1924, she was the daughter of Henry A. and Lucie (Ouellette) Marcoux. She received her nursing degree from the Notre Dame Hospital School of Nursing.
Prior to retirement, she had worked as a registered nurse at Notre Dame Hospital for many years.
Janet loved knitting, sewing, making ceramics and creating arts and crafts projects. She also very much enjoyed playing Bingo. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Raymond Maurier in 2009.
Family members include her children, Robert Laurendeau and partner Laurie Neal of Hooksett, Gerard Laurendeau of Deerfield, David Maurier and partner Dawn Gentile of Manchester, Raymond Maurier and wife Pam of Manchester; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Sr. Roseline Marcoux, RJM of Wellesley, MA; sisters-in-law, Theresa Gingras and Marion Marcoux; several nephews, nieces and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in St. Catherine of Siena Church. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery, Manchester.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Monastery of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge St, Manchester, NH 03104.
