Janet (Meinhart) Paglierani, 88, of Manchester, died December 11, 2020 at the Courville at Manchester after a period of declining health.
She was born in Brighton, MA on December 1, 1932 to Edward and Mary (Skelton) Meinhart. She lived in Manchester for the last 5 years. Prior to that she resided in Bedford, Ossipee, North Conway and retired to her dream home in Freedom, NH. She raised her family in Saugus, MA.
During the 1950's, she served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Janet worked with the Visiting Nurse Association in Freedom as a licensed practical nurse, and the Salem Hospital in Salem, MA. She had also been a licensed realtor and secretary in MA.
She was a lifelong learner, avid reader, pianist, and had a wonderfully adventurous spirit. She loved spending time with her family playing and enjoying nature in the mountains swimming, boating, jet skiing, snowmobiling, throwing snowballs and "roading" up mountains. She enjoyed teaching her children to read, play the piano, square dance, bake, cook, and sew.
She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, John L. Paglierani in 2018 and by three siblings, Noreen Meinhart, Marilyn Sousa and Nancy Champoux.
The family includes five children, Noreen M. Bogdan and her husband, Daniel, of Merrimack, Janet L. D'Eon and her husband, Phil, of Nottingham, John C. Paglierani and his wife, Carmen, of Saugus, MA, Kathy E. Paglierani of Conway and Alfred E. Paglierani of Chester; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a cousin; Dorothy Eldeen of Lebanon.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (12/21) at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine Church, 267 Webster St., Manchester. Committal prayers will follow at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
