Janet E. (Boisvert) Soucy, 97, formerly of Manchester, died November 27, 2018 at Concord Hospital after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on June 17, 1921 to Louis and Evaleda (Beaudry) Boisvert and graduated from West High School in 1939. She lived most of her life in Manchester and had wintered in Hallendale, FL for many years. She also lived for several years in Connecticut and North Carolina.
Along with her husband, Roger S. Soucy, she was the owner and operator of the former Roger's Beauty Salon in Manchester. He predeceased her in 1983.
Janet was a former member of NEPCIA in Manchester. She was an avid reader and gifted seamstress and knitter. She also enjoyed traveling.
The family includes two daughters, Marjorie J. Aldrich and Claudet M. Rheault and husband, Joseph, all of Manchester; four grandchildren, Debra Ranahan and husband, James, Sharon Caron and husband, Ronald, Christopher Rheault and wife, Nicole, and Jonathan Rheault and wife, Shannon; seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Adrienne Soucy of Manchester and Pearl Boisvert of Connecticut; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
