Janeth K. Nicoll, 93, of Manchester passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at St.Teresa's Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, surrounded by her loving family, after a period of declining health.
Janeth was born in Stoneham, MA, November 22, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Carl and Muriel (Keene) Phillips.
She graduated from Malden High School in 1949 and began working as a machine operator at the Malden News in Malden, MA. After moving to New Hampshire with her family in 1979, she became a medical secretary working at a few local area doctor’s offices. Janeth later was hired as the first full-time 7am-3pm emergency room secretary at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH where she worked for 12 years before retiring.
She loved gardening, the Red Sox, reading and visiting with her family.
She is survived by her children, Pamela Doucet and her husband Wayne, Howard Nicoll and his wife Jolene, Nancy Nicoll and her spouse Nancy Erickson and Douglas Nicoll and his wife Sharon; her brother Stephen Phillips; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved very much.
She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Howard M. Nicoll.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at St. Teresa's Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Manchester for their compassionate care that they provided to Janeth.
SERVICES: There will be no services. Her ashes will be scattered at a later date in the places she and her husband loved the most.
