Janice Arsenault, 56, of Barrington, died March 21, 2016 at Frisbee Memorial Hospital in Rochester from injuries received in an auto accident.
She was born in Manchester on June 20, 1959 to Melvin and Dorothy (Maciulevicius) Arsenault. She grew up in Manchester and lived in Barrington for many years.
She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1981 and a master's degree from New Hampshire College in 1985.
Jan worked as a psychologist at Journey to Wellness and managed Pete's Place Grief Support Center, both in Dover. She also worked within visiting nurse and hospice services and was director of the MS in Mental Health Counseling graduate program at New England College.
She was a member of several mental health and counseling associations and earned the designation of Fellow in Thanatology.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bruce A. Young in 2011.
The family includes three siblings, Richard Arsenault of Manchester, Carol Frye and her husband, George, of Elburn, IL and Gail Mara of Manchester; nieces and nephews, Geoffrey Frye, Gregrey Frye, Kristina Murdock, Jaime Lanza, Kimberly DiFranco and Jill Arsenault; and many grand nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony was held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
